Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex
115,000 square feet “igloo-like” complex state-of-the-art facility on the Florida Gulf Coast offering recreational and entertainment activities for all ages! The complex features two NHL size ice rinks, a 13,500 sq/ft indoor roller/ball hockey rink, gym, fitness studio, dance studio, off ice training gym, Sports Academy, birthday party rooms, pro shop, and concession area.

The Skating Academy at Ellenton Ice is designed to serve the needs of both recreational and competitive skaters. The curriculum will keep skaters enthusiastic about learning from the time they begin lessons until the time they reach their goals. Our talented and diverse coaching staff are able to provide skaters with a fun and safe learning environment that encourages a goal orientated environment at all levels of skating.
Learn to Play
Go to Lightning Made Learn to Play for youths wanting to learn the game. Adults can learn to play through the Adult Hockey Clinic that Ellenton Ice has on Wednesday nights. Learn more here.
Youth Hockey
Ellenton Ice has several age groups in their rec youth hockey programs beginning with 8U Mites.
Adult Hockey
Ellenton Ice offers several adult leagues that typically last 13 weeks including playoffs. The divisions include the following:
- D League
- C League
- B League
- 45+ C/D League
- 40+ A League
- 40+ C/D Draft League
- 30+ C League
If you are new to the Ellenton area please speak to our Adult Hockey Director, Stephane before signing up. Stephane can point you in the right direction, let you know how full each league is and if there is room as well as give a detailed idea of the level of each league. He is very knowledgeable about the game, our teams and is on a first name basis with our players.
